Mike Black is the Founder and CEO of Ignition Canvas, a strategic marketing agency helping small to mid-sized businesses sharpen their marketing through deep customer insights, competitive research, and direct client discovery. His path to the industry is anything but conventional. After earning his Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and leading family therapy teams at the University of Colorado’s Department of Psychiatry, he brought a clinician’s curiosity about how people think and make decisions into the world of business strategy. That rare combination of behavioral insight and marketing expertise became the foundation for Ignition Canvas, which he founded in 2013.

This experience sharpened her deep expertise in research, argumentation, and persuasion, which she leverages to drive marketing strategy that matches messaging to context and audience. She brings that same precision to operations, keeping teams aligned and executing strategy at scale.

Kelsie enjoys writing poetry in airport terminals, photographing the northern lights, and watching alpine sunsets with her three pups. She can also be found hiding her tattoos in plain sight and sampling chips and queso across Colorado (with a patio marg on the side, of course).

Chris holds a degree in Architecture from CU Boulder, is fluent in Spanish, and has a passion for international travel that fuels his global perspective and cross-cultural instincts. When he’s not building brands, he’s volunteering with redM to fight human trafficking in Colorado.

Lately, he’s been focused on how AI can enhance workflow, ideation, and efficiency. When not crusading for the user, Keith can be found mountain biking, skiing, or losing at Pickleball. He is effectively managed by a very demanding golden retriever named Hudson, who handles all public relations.
